I have been a K-8 Japanese teacher at the same private school for 16 years. I have also tutored high school students and adults who need to speak Japanese for business. I was born in Tokyo, so I have excellent pronunciation skills and accent in Japanese speaking. I do interaction 'specials' from time to time, such as Origami or singing Japanese songs. Those cultural experiences improve learning skills and students can naturally adapt themselves to Japanese community and communications....

Fumi presented a very informative and practical first Japanese lesson. She introduced common greetings and polite forms. She introduced numbers and counting up to 100, and beyond! At the same time, she was very careful to make sure I could both understand and say these new words. Fumi gave a good introduction to pronunciation. She familiarized me with 2 Japanese writing systems, Hiragana and Katakana. Fumi increased my confidence into ability to learn Japanese. She is a very skilled instructor.
