I am a recent graduate from Western Michigan University with a M.S in Biological Sciences. My thesis work was done in the BSL-2 Microbiology laboratory of Professor Silvia Rossbach, in the Department of Biological Sciences. It focused upon the regulation of Inositol catabolism in Sinorhizobium meliloti, the nitrogen fixing symbiont of alfalfa, and upon its involvement in plant-bacteria interactions as a nutritional signal.
