Shannon is a dedicated soul. Our son started kindergarten in 2013 and had a lot of difficulty adjusting. Besides being socially awkward with other kids, he was not completing his work on a consistent basis. By the end of the year, we didn't really know what he was capable of i.e. was he "able and UN-willing" or genuinely lagging behind his peers? After just 1 meeting with Shannon, we have seen a remarkable difference. She was able to communicate on his level and helped him understand how important it is to focus and feel confident about his reading and writing skills. She is calm, direct and really cares about your child's well-being. Her experience and perspective as a parent and public school teacher are key.
