At my full time job, I currently provide speech and language services to 12 students on the spectrum. Their severities range from non-verbal to verbal and low functioning to high functioning students. I have assisted students in learning how to use alternative and augmentative communications (AAC) devices. I am a Speech Language Pathologist with 4 years of experience working with students, in a public school setting, to acquire skills needed for academic achievement. I have a MA in speech language pathology from Wayne State University. I completed all requirements to be certified as clinically competent by the ASHA. In addition I am licensed by the state of Michigan in speech language pathology. I have worked with students ranging from preschool through 8th grade. I've treated students with various speech and language impairments including: Apraxia of speech, phonological impairment, and social language impairment. Children, I have serviced have been diagnosed with Autism, cognitive impairment, specific learning disability, hearing impaired, selective mutism, early childhood developmentally delayed, ADHD, and cerebral palsy.
