Jake is both very professional in his dealings with parents, and also very personable and approachable with our son, who is 14. We have already seen quick progress in our son's math abilities in both his understanding of the material and also his grades. Jake is patient, and able to meet a student where they are at. He is organized in his approach to the tutoring and makes sure that the student not only gets correct answers on work, but understands the process to arrive at an answer. He works to assist true learning, and makes sure to circle back over problems that were taught to work them another way so a student can demonstrate mastery and knowledge. He is able to cover a great deal of information in his tutoring sessions. Our son enjoys his tutoring sessions and looks forward to seeing Jake. We appreciate that Jake makes the most of the time and money spent on tutoring. He is prompt, gets right to work, is friendly and well-spoken.
