I have been a public school teacher for 40 years, with the past 13 years spent in the Durham Public Schools. I graduated from Meredith College, received a Master's Degree in Special Education at the University of Virginia, and received AIG licensure from NCCU. I have taught almost all grade levels, but have the bulk of my experience (30 years) teaching first grade. I am currently an Exceptional Children's resource teacher in an elementary school.
