I have recorded and produced many videos, several of which are available online at YouTube. I have recorded videos using both web cameras and video cameras. I have used video software such as Camtasia and PowerDirector. The videos I have recorded and produced have been made available online and on DVD.

Microsoft Outlook

For many years, I have been using Microsoft Outlook. It is my software of choice for handling emails, calendars, and information about people. I have frequently had to troubleshoot Outlook when it fails to work properly. I have used Outlook in combination with devices such as PDAs and smartphones.

Microsoft Windows

I have been using Microsoft Windows ever since it first came out. I have tutored many people in its use, including an 80-year woman who was struggling with its many complicated and confusing aspects. Many of my friends have benefited from my knowledge of MS Windows, coming to me for advice. My current computer setup in my business uses Microsoft Windows.

Microsoft Publisher

Microsoft Publisher has been my software of choice for many years for creating documents such as flyers, business cards, and other similar items. I have used Microsoft Publisher for more than a decade. Using it I have created customized educational materials, a website, brochures, letters, envelopes, flash cards, and more. I have used many of its features over the years.

Microsoft Word

I have used Microsoft Word for several decades. Before I used Word, I used other kinds of word processors. I have used Word to create flyers, letters, and other documents. It is the standard word processor that I use for my business.

Adobe Photoshop

I have used Adobe Photoshop extensively over the last six years, starting with my purchase of Adobe Creative Suite Six. As a website designer, I use Photoshop regularly to create and edit graphics. The music education materials that I create use graphics created and edited by Photoshop. Photoshop software is my graphics software of choice when I use publishing programs such as Microsoft Publisher and Serif PagePlus X6. When I create graphics for the DVDs and CDs that I record and produce, Photoshop is the graphics program that I rely on.

Microsoft Excel

I have been using Microsoft Excel and other spreadsheets for several decades. I regularly use it in my business to project my future financial needs. Other spreadsheets I have created are used to keep track of student grades, business mileage, and other things. Over the years, the spreadsheets I have created use many different kinds of formulas to calculate various results.

general computer

I have been using computers for over 40 years, starting with learning to program in BASIC when I was in high school. Over the past 40 years I have built several computers out of component parts, installed the software, and maintained and repaired them. I have tutored people on the use of PC operating systems and software and repaired computers owned by friends. I worked briefly as a computer support person for a firm that made software for Macintosh computers. I took a class in computer programming at the university level and have designed software using a dBase clone language. In addition, I have created and maintained several websites, which involves the use of Dreamweaver, Photoshop, PowerDirector, Camtasia, and other video and audio software.
