I have a Master's Degree in Special Education and have been teaching students with learning disabilities and disorders including ADHD for 25 years. In both a self contained classroom and resource room setting, I have taught many students with ADHD. By providing them with strategies, skills, and increasing their self confidence, I have led them to success in the learning process. Strategies for the ADHD student include: frequent breaks, multi-sensory approach, providing movement during lessons, time management for completion of work, and activities that align with their interests.
