As a Learning Specialist at The Children’s Hospital in Colorado, I taught children and adolescents with Autism and consulted in the development of educational assessments and strategies for a special unit-based day treatment program for PDD spectrum diagnoses. In addition, I provided documentation and training for staff. In Nevada, I taught in a KIDS program (children 3-5 with Autism) and participated in trainings and staff development in-services specific to learning and behavior strategies for students with Autism.

Just wanted to state that my first experience with Robin B. has been beyond my expectations. It was quite a relief to hear my daughter going through her homework and being repeatedly acknowledged for the good work she was doing. It was in complete contrast to my, I'm embarrassed to say, impatient and frustrating episodes trying to help my baby girl with her homework. Hearing my daughter's "Mommy, I'm so confused" and seeing the tears fall down her face, for the third time, was the push I needed to make the financial investment required for tutoring. There were less costly options than Robin B; however, I was concerned that my daughter may have had some kind of learning disability, and Robin has the experience and the credentials. So the savings $10-$15 for a less qualified tutor, for me, was not an option. I have to say, the investment has already paid off and I'm really looking forward to seeing the development over the next few weeks and months. My daughter is in the first grade and has been having challenges with math and reading.

Robin has been an absolute lifesaver. Per her request, I email her the spelling words and other relevant information before each lesson, and Robin uses this information to prepare. She brings many different types of learning tools, such as charts, Scrabble tiles, books, and other hands on activities to help my daughter. She is terrific!

Robin is a life-saver! Our 3rd grader was struggling with reading comprehension and math. We tried everything without any improvement and decided that a tutor would be best. Robin is wonderful at making our child feel comfortable even when he doesn't know the answers, she's inquisitive and engaging and our son has responded so well to the whole experience. In the few months she has been his tutor his Reading comprehension and math grades are up, which is a big improvement for him.
