I grew up in Pittsburgh and moved to Las Vegas in 2008 as part of Teach for America. I taught Special Education at a High School for seven years in both resource and co-teaching environments. Subjects I taught were Algebra I, English 9-12, Reading, and Study Skills. On average, my students improved their reading by at least two grade levels over the course of a year and gained confidence and a love of reading.
