ESL Professional with 6 Years Experience
After studying International Studies and French in university, I spent seven years traveling the world, teaching and tutoring. I then earned my MA in TESOL - Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages- at The New School in New York City. My focus was teaching and my professional project was "Teaching English through Improvisation." Classroom teaching is so much fun and I love my students, but tutoring is special because it's so exciting to see students progress on an individual level...

I have been performing since I was a child, from musical theater to period dramas. While I was in college I served for two years on the Studio Theater Board, during which time I produced, directed, and acted in over thirty productions. While I was in Korea, I directed a regularly-performing acting troupe and served as Development Director for Seoul City Improv for three years. I was voted "Best Actor" for my performance in the 2010 Seoul 48 Hour Film Festival. As part of my MA in TESOL, I created the class "Teaching ESL through Improv," which taught techniques developed from such luminaries as Del Close, Viola Spolin, and the creators of the UCB Theater in NYC. I am a graduate of the UCB Improv program and a current student at The Magnet, specializing in musical improvisation.
