I'm taking a very rigorous financial accounting class one (very long) evening a week. I found myself losing pace in the class and reached out locally, but couldn't find any accounting tutors where I live. I was VERY reluctant to work online until it became clear that there was really no other option for me, and I'm so glad that my first online tutoring experience was with Samantha. I needed her help just utilizing the screen sharing features! By the time we were able to meet online (which was after an I sent email fairly late in the evening - she was kind enough to fit me in immediately) my homework was due the very next day. I had reached a chapter that I had virtually no understanding of, had just finished a long day of work, and was incredibly flustered - but she patiently helped me through the Wyzant screen sharing process, helped me get focused, and took me through each problem step by step, breaking down each element of the problem into terms that were easy to understand. I love that she made sure to ask if how we came to each answer in a way that felt collaborative and not at all like I was on the spot. In the past 3 weeks I have met with two other online tutors, and one in-person (which is my preference) and Samantha was THE MOST helpful - BY LEAPS AND BOUNDS. Although it's likely that I'll have to retake this class a different semester due to personal reasons - when I do take it again, Samantha is the first person I will reach out to as soon as any questions come up. I found myself working in circles for such a long time trying to get help, and only wish that I was able to find her sooner. You won't be disappointed!!
