ADD/ADHD

During my time as a mathematics and test preparation tutor, I have worked extensively with ADD students of all ages from 8 to 26. Indeed, my first undergraduate thesis as a Psychology major focused specifically on the aetiology underlying ADD, then termed ADHD. My current Student with ADD is progressing nicely through his MBA at Fordham.

My 9 year old daughter was so happy that a teacher would actually stop and discuss all her questions, even if they were tangential or 'off topic', instead of putting them off for some unforeseeable 'later'. Edward, you were patient and calm. I think my daughter inherently understands that you love math and she likes to be with people who love what they do. Look forward to next week.

This great man is one in millions; rare to find! He doesn't waste time. Any minute you spend with him has a very return. He makes things happen and sustain. When you talk to him you definitely talk to a giant mountain of knowledge and skills.

Last summer I was having difficulty teaching myself the material for the SOA Probability exam. Searching through google I came across Edward's Wyzant profile. Upon reading reviews I decided Edward had the background I was looking for. To make a long story short, I was not disappointed. Edward's organized and methodical approach to teaching the material helped me pass my exam on the first attempt. I will definitely be hiring him again once I start studying for exam FM.

Edward's knowledge and skill at conveying complicated concepts is the best I've seen. He is thoughtful, patient and highly intelligent and his range spans from the primary grades to graduate schools. It has been a great experience.

Mildred W. from Bayside, NY

The best tutor my children ever had. Always patient and punctual, an overall positive experience. I highly recommend Edward for all ages seeking help.

Jordana G. from Waltham, MA

Edward is a great tutor. I had taken the exam studying on my own not really grasping the material. I met with Edward about three weeks before the exam a bunch of times and he really explained the material thoroughly and clearly. He introduced me to the type of questions that would be on the exam and how to tackle them. Highly recommended!

Jonathan S. from New York, NY

Edward helped me prepare for P/1 which I passed in September after helping me for FM which I passed in June. Edward knows and communicated the heavily math/calculus based material very well. Edward can either take ownership of the syllabus and guide your studies or simply answer questions. This flexibility helped me as I had different needs for different sections of the material. I would recommend Edward for both FM & P.

Ryan S. from Greenlawn, NY

Edward is hands down the best tutor I've ever had. He comes very well prepared with instruction and specific practice problems for the exam, in my case SOA Exam P. With his clear exam and tutoring experience, he even anticipates a lot of my questions, no matter how difficult. He has complete mastery of the exam material and explains concepts very clearly and thoroughly. I will certainly be back for Exam FM!

Barry S. from Los Gatos, CA

Edward got right down to business, assessed areas that needed development and dove in with exercises to get me on track with my high school math studies. He's an all around great person, excellent tutor, and a trusted mentor.

Lisa M. from New York, NY

Edward helped me prepare for a very important responsibility at work. I am now confident that I will succeed.

Nina A. from Allendale, NJ

Edward tutored my 11 year old for math. He has an excellent grasp of the subject and kept my son engaged and on schedule. My son did very well on his exams thanks to Edward. Very easy to work with, and very professional. We highly recommend him.

Matt W. from Fresno, CA

We reviewed potential outcomes, randomization, and control variables in depth. Ed related these concepts to more basic ideas in statistics which was really helpful. Definitely worth the time.
