I am a well-known FIDE International Master who has been officially rated and recognized by FIDE (World Chess Federation) since the 1970s. I am an Original Lifemaster of the USCF (United States Chess Federation) and a "Senior Star Lifemaster" of the USCF (under their previous system of Lifetime Title Norms.) George was giving to my child chess and history lesson. We all agree on his deep knowledge of both subjects. He is a very high rated chess player. George is enthusiastic about the subjects and loves sharing that knowledge with his students. He definitely Âencourages higher levels of thinking. We also find George to be a reliable, punctual and dependable. We would recommend this tutor for any students age 11 and up.

George is a brilliant player, but does not slow his student with "useless" routines. He constantly would show me an opening, a tactic, an end position but would comment "Not for you. Too complex and chancy for one at your stage. Better to avoid this at this time. We will deal it when you are more experienced." In other words, he taught to my level so that what I learned would help me now and we would learn more later. No only that, but he is genially a nice person and a pleasure to work with. I would recommend him to anyone.
