Marc
Ivy League Grad to Help with Standardized Tests and Academic Work
I offer tutoring for standardized tests and academic coursework. I am a former Princeton Review teacher (both group lessons and tutoring) and have been tutoring professionally since 2003 (full-time since 2012). I received my BA from the University of Pennsylvania and MA from Georgetown University. I received a perfect score on the GRE in November 2010 (800/800/6.0 in the old scoring system) and stay up-to date on all standardized tests for which I tutor. I can't guarantee you similar results,...

Marc is a wonderful tutor, and I recommend him highly. I was struggling with the Quantitative section of the GRE and wanted to raise my score by a few points. Marc understood my goals and what I could realistically achieve in my short time frame, and he provided me with useful test-taking tips and strategies that I was able to apply on my own (this part was key) when I was practicing at home. Marc's organized, structured approach to teaching also worked well for me since I'm a visual learner (he likes to use charts and encourages his students to write down every step), and because of his kind, non-judgmental nature, I never felt embarrassed if I stumbled over simpler material. I am starting business school this summer and will definitely reach out to Marc again if I need a statistics or accounting tutor!

Thank you so much for your patience with the subject matter! It is greatly appreciated and I feel that I learned a lot!

Marc has been helping my stepson in all subject matter ranging from math and physics to English. He communicates with me regularly, which is a huge help to me as a parent; he is wonderfully reliable and answers emails in a very timely fashion. Further, he only charges for the time he spends with my son - while other tutors may charge a full hour even when a conflict has to cut the session short (a conflict on OUR end, never on his). I'm very grateful. Thank you, Marc.

I was very impressed with Marc's acumen in regard to the GRE. He addressed the test format, specific testing techniques, and the subject matter in a direct, focused, yet cool manner. He revealed insightful patterns for handling math problems by offering tactical solutions. In addition, he outlined approaches to argumentative essays in a concise way which helped me in preparation for this exam.

Marc is an excellent tutor. He is very organized, very patient, and flexible. He is also very nice and was able to easily connect with and engage my daughter. He is very good at what he does and is very familiar with the structure and content of both the SAT and ACT tests. My daughter's math SAT score, which is what we hired Marc to work on, went up substantially after just 6 or so weeks working with Marc. She felt much more confident and competent when taking the test the second time. I highly recommend March for SAT and ACT prep.
