I have a great deal of theatrical experience. My Bachelors is in Theater and Film from Cornell University. I have an MFA in playwriting from Columbia University's graduate theater department. I've been published in theatrical journals and periodicals multiple times, have written, directed, and acted in multiple plays and theater festivals in New York City. My work has been seen at Second Stage, the Bowery Poetry Club, The Flea, Under St. Marks, Ensemble Studios Theater, and The Actor's Studio. I'm well-versed in theater techniques, theater history, mainstream and avant-garde theater, directing, playwriting, and acting techniques.

It was a nice surprise to see and hear the energy coming from my son's tutoring session. The work Michael does with Ike is rigorous and academic but not silent and serious like school work can be. Michael moves around the room and pumps up the mental energy level. Last time Michael left my son went bounding back to his desk to hit the books again with an enthusiasm I've never seen before. When I received a letter from school informing me that my son would be retained in the 1st grade due to his problems with writing and reading, I started looking for a tutor right away. I know how hard it is to make my six-year-old do the work and keep him interested at the same time, but Michael was able to do it from the very start.
