ADD/ADHD

I am certified birth through 9th grade in general studies and in students with disabilities. At Carmel Academy I was the Upper School Learning Specialists and worked with many students who were diagnosed as ADD/ADHD. Recently, I have spend six years tutoring and a student with ADD. I have worked with ADD/ADHD on academic subjects, as well as study skills and in class attending skills, techniques and strategies. I was a member of the child study team and created numerous student modification and accommodation forms based on psycho-educational testing. I am familiar with CSE & CPSE meetings as well as 504 and IEP's.


Aspergers

I am certified in general education and students with disabilities birth-9th grade. In my resource room I have worked with many Aspergers students and been part of their CSE/CST meetings. I have been in charge of their modifications and accommodations as well as insuring that educational plans are carried through across the curriculum. I have privately tutor several Aspergers students over the years, and have volunteered at schools working with students on the Autism Spectrum. I have also continued my professional development in regards to students with disabilities and continue to stay in touch and advise students with Aspergers now adding colleges like Summit.
