Amy
Master's level tutor specializing in reading, science, and more.
I have worked in an inner city school as a full time substitute before in all subjects. For two years I tutored children, especially Jr. High and High School age, that were not able to attend their school for medical, mental, or expulsion reasons. I am patient and able to work with children who have a difficult time learning, either because of the material or because of learning disabilities. I have not only tutored the learning disabled and special needs children but have one child of my own...
ADD/ADHD
For the last 15 years, I have spent much time with a child who has ADHD and has grown up with my family. I did take classes in college for learning how to deal with this type of specialty through my social work degree. With a Master's in Social Work, one does learn to understand and deal with the child and family of different types of disabilities.
American history
autism
I have worked in the special education area of the schools when I was a substitute teacher and dealt with students with Autism. I also had areas in my social work degree in which we learned about this in great detail; how to help the Austistic child especially. I have been around this specialty for 16 years.
