Kayla is patient and has my son excited about reading. His confidence is going up. He still has a little problem with focusing at times but she is always patient.

I have an 8 year old son who is easily distracted, easily frustrated and frankly a little lazy when it comes to reading and writing. I hired Kayla to be his summertime tutor and have enjoyed watching my son connect with her. She has a very kind and gentle personality, is soft spoken, and simply puts her students at ease. My son looks forward to seeing her and always leaves happy. I asked my son what he liked about her and he responded, "She gives me candy, is a nice teacher, and she helps me a lot." I recommend Kayla!

I would not recommend this tutor to anyone who is serious about there child education. She was late to the sessions on two different occasions. Seems as though she just cares about money. Not recommendendable.

Kayla is very personable and warm with my first grader, she makes learning fun for him and he does enjoy the sessions! I appreciate your report of yesterday's session and glad you are able to focus so accurately on his weaknesses and strengths! I am glad you are able to make learning fun for my student!

Kayla has worked with my daughter several times. My daughter really enjoys working with her. She is very sweet and finds interesting ways to help my daughter with homework. She is very patient and flexible. I would highly recommend her to anyone in need of a tutor.

My son has only been to a couple sessions with Kayla so far and has already shown improvement. She has taught him some strategies for multiplication which he now uses and is building his confidence. Will definitely recommend her to anybody needing a tutor.

She arrived for the tutoring session a week (and a half hour) early. Luckily my husband and son were home. I got home about half way through the session to find out she had worked out a homework contract with our son including rewards (to be given by me and my husband) without running it by us first. She also suggested to our son that he not start his homework until about 6:30 p.m on school nights (which is very contrary to what we've told him) and that he spend at least 20 minutes per night doing homework but no more than 1.5 hours. (What if he has more than 1.5 hours worth? ?) She did have some really great ideas regarding organization and study skills (which is what we asked her for) but I felt she overstepped her boundaries a bit - particularly for never having met us before.
