Susann is a perfect TOEFL teacher for me. She is a very experienced, patient and easygoing teacher. She has her unique teaching technique. I am much more confident right now. I believe if I met her earlier I would have gotten a higher score in my TOEFL test. We have scheduled my next test. I desire to pass it successfully. In my class, Susann corrected my pronunciation. I haven't noticed it before. We practiced some grammar problems. I have enriched my vocabulary. Dr. Susann has been a great tutor for my German. Several years ago I took conventional German while in school. The years have passed and my German skills have dwindled. In preparation for an upcoming vacation with my wife, I decided to brush up on some survival German. Dr. Susann has made my first couple lessons extremely interesting. She is easy to understand and very patient. In studying a foreign language like German, it is a great tool to have a one-on-one teacher when you are practicing pronunciation (no one wants to stand in the middle of a crowded room trying to pronounce many of the complex words German requires). She has actually helped me understand concepts of the language that I never could grasp while I was in school. If you are an adult and wish to build on a lifetime of learning, I highly recommend Dr. Susann, as she will make learning something as daunting as German seem like a small mole hill to conquer. For parents: As someone who took 4 years of high school German and after less than a decade forgot most of it, I would suggest hiring a one-on-one tutor for your child. Especially in the beginning when grammar rules are new and confusing, it will build an amazing foundation for the rest of the language.

I have been tutored by Ms M. She customized how she taught German to how I learned. She figured out how I learned through questions and observation. Asking questions about the German language was encouraged so that everything is being understood even if that means re-explaning the topic / concept multiple times. She plans out each session and gives work to do outside of each session. To figure out the amount of work she would ask what else was going on. The best way to get the most out of the sessions is to do the assigned work the best you can. After each class on Wyzant she provides an overview of what was covered during the session and the work to be completed before the next one. The language sessions are much better than the classes a person would take in school. I have had 3.5 years of German language classes in school. I think this is much better because the lessons are customized and one on one.
