I'm a certified English teacher for grades 7-12 and also have experience with students in grades 4-6. I've taught in a school for behaviorally-challenged students, tutored privately, and worked at the Cleveland State Writing Center. Also, I happen to be a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC). So I'm extremely comfortable with ADHD, learning disabilities, mood disorders, and other behavioral concerns. I've worked in child/adolescent mental health for 18 years and am a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) in OH and PA. In that capacity, I've done individual, group, and family work with children/teens/adults who have ADHD and the disorders that commonly accompany it (e.g., anxiety, oppositional defiance, depression, and adjustment issues). I have extensive training in the DSM, in behavioral theory, incentive programs, and development across the lifespan. I've used this training as a tutor and got my first teaching license in 1993.
