Joan bends over backwards to help my student. She brings in additional study materials to help reinforce and explain the difficult concepts of Algebra 2. I'm impressed!

Joan has taught me many algebra 2 concepts. I am a freshman who jumped into algebra 2 at the end of the first quarter. Joan has got me caught up on all three chapters, and she has helped me work my way into the class. Joan is very thorough when she teaches and she makes sure you grasp the concept. Joan is also very patient, and she helped me through the chapter 2 with ease. She is very nice and willing to learn herself. If she thinks anything is slightly wrong she will go back and review the subject, and then work with the student to get the problem solved. Overall, Joan is an amazing tutor, and she is an awesome algebra 2/ precalculus tutor.

Joan has gone out of her way to provide written steps and helpful hints for my daughter. She has practiced with my daughter and asks for her feedback. She is awesome!

I am very impressed with Joan. Joan is not only professional , but also compassionate and patient. My daughter had been criticized for her lack of math skills, to the point of feeling anxious about math and math teachers. Joan evaluated my daughter's learning needs and was able to help my daughter feel less anxious, and more self confident after only one lesson. Joan is a positive person, and uses positive reinforcement to help students overcome their learning obstacles. I am so pleased and thankful to have Joan as my daughter's tutor!

Joan has been helping my learning-disabled son for over a year with both Geometry and Algebra 2. Where the curriculum lacked, Joan filled in with extra examples and great creativity. She has wonderful intuition with what to do when against a wall and he thrived under her tutoring. Most importantly, she is very soft and kind with him, very patient. He's had tutors before who got frustrated and blamed him; she never did that. I highly recommend her. Anyone with math skills can tutor; but it takes someone very gifted to "teach," and especially to mold that teaching to each child's needs. The dreaded Common Core will not defeat anyone with Joan on their side!
