Alicia is quiet, kind and unassuming, and in no way intimidating. This is exactly what our daughter (an Honors Student) needed after having her confidence torn down by a particularly intimidating High School teacher. I could say much more on that subject, but I will resist that temptation. I waited until our daughter had spent a month (four 1 hr sessions) being tutored by Alicia and had taken a geometry test to write this review. So one month, 8 A's, and 1 B later, she was able to score just shy of a 100 on that test. Only thing I would do differently in the future is to do it sooner in the year. Money well spent!

My math skills were not too good before I hired Alicia. I bombed my first test and then hired her to tutor me through the semester. I got a 100 on my final and finished the class with a B. Alicia is so helpful. I am older and she is patient and guides me on problems. I decided to go back to school at age 44. The last time I had Algebra or even looked at an Algebra problem was when I was 14. 30 years is a long time. Alicia was very patient and somehow I managed to get through both Beginning and Intermediate Algebra with A's. She could tell when I didn't understand something and would come up with different ways of explaining, so that I eventually grasped the concept. I think the deer in the head-lights look was her cue. LOL She also was very understanding when she had to keep reminding me of stuff we've already went over before. Life's busy and she understood that Algebra wasn't the only thing I had going on.
