Ms. D is an amazing teacher who is able to help me understand any concept that I needed. The most important thing to me is that she created my interest in math. By constantly questioning me, and having me discover things for myself, I was able to see the underlying concepts and this made math much easier and much more interesting. She encouraged me to do self-research, like when I was confused as to how the complex plane could lie with the coordinate plane, and why polynomials on the coordinate plane can have imaginary solutions? This self-research made the math a lot more like science and a lot more fun and intellectual. I had a 5-week course with Ms. D in which we were able to cover the 2 books that my school uses, and help me prepare for Pre-Calculus by covering many of the concepts. Ms. D is very approachable and I was even able to ask her questions and have them answered by e-mail. She is also very transparent and showed us the full lesson costs, etc. Ms. D is also very efficient; we would cover about 2 chapters every night in 1.5 hours. She also gives plenty of practice work for her students to do, and has a wide range of different types of problems. She is also very helpful in memorization of concepts. Algebra 2/Trig has a lot of memorization that needs to be done, and she has a lot of methods for memorization and knows how to derive every single concept. Ms. D was a wonderful tutor, and if in the future I need a tutor again, I will surely contact her.

This summer Rebecca tutored my son who attended a high school geometry course. We decided to hire a tutor because we were concerned about the fast pace of the class, which was covering a yearlong course in less than 6 weeks. Rebecca proposed the right tutoring approach consisting of a preview session during the weekend, which provided an introduction to the material that was going to be cover during the week, and a sync up session toward the end of the week, which was used to go over homework and prepare for tests. My son found Rebecca's coaching not only effective, but also very enjoyable. We were very pleased with Rebecca's flexibility to adapt to my son's needs and schedule.
