During college, I served as an elementary school tutor at Waddell Elementary for 2 years. I tutored two students in reading, math, spelling, vocabulary and science. We used a variety of games - such as hangman, word match etc. to learn new vocabulary words. Both of my students were very visual, so we used visual examples to help them think about addition and subtraction. Most recently, I worked in Austria as an English teacher at the elementary school level. I helped students gain confidence in writing, reading, and speaking.
