My daughter loved working with Michiko. She was taking Japanese 103 and had been struggling with some things. Michiko helped her improve comprehension, boosted her confidence, and encouraged her to continue studying Japanese. We had tried other tutors but given some of my daughter's challenges, none were compatible. Michiko was excellent, and I wish we had been able to continue sessions with her. The only reason my daughter did not continue working with Michiko is that it's too expensive. Michiko took the time to speak with me about my daughter's strengths and weaknesses (with her permission, of course) and this made it possible for me to address her needs more specifically. (Note that I don't study Japanese, so can't be specific about the "things" my daughter struggled with that Michiko helped her understand.)
