I found Karsten through this site, I was desperately looking for a teacher who has the willingness to teach a person like me who is soo poor in Math. I was trying hard to increase my score in ASVAB to get into US Army, and I must say with all the hard work of Karsren, I made this happen. Karsten was a great choice for our 18 yr old son. We have had tutors before in their 40's and older but having someone closer to Bobby's age was a benefit. Karsten's communication skills with Bobby were excellent. Bobby is a quiet kid and Karsten was able to keep him on task and motivated. Karsten was able to recognize Bobby's weakness and help him see what parts he did not understand well. Karsten helped Bobby work through the problems himself so that he understood what concepts he needed to work on. Karsten was very easy to reach and responded to Bobby's calls and texts quickly. Karsten possesses all the qualities that I find necessary in a good tutor: he is patient, attentive, encouraging, accommodating and very capable in the areas that he teaches. Karsten tutored my son in College Physics I. My son did not have physics or precalc in high school and was therefore behind the other students in his class. This physics course was required for his major. This was a 6 week summer course and at the end of week 1, my son was flunking this class. I hired Karsten who worked with my son two to three nights a week for the remaining five weeks. My daughter was in 6th grade when she started having difficulty with her math lesson plan. We knew right away that we would have to find a tutor for her, but how? I went on the internet and up popped WyzAnt. Not only was it an easy website to navigate; we found the best tutor for our daughter. She was very shy at first with Karsten, but he has a way about him that allows a student to feel smart and capable of learning math at any level. He made math easy for her to comprehend and she looked forward to her weekly lesson with Karsten. Her grade went from a high C to an A in less than one semester. She is now in eighth grade and on her way to high school with a scholarship. Karsten is still a big part of her math study program. Once a week for an hour or as long as they deem necessary, he tutors my daughter and she excels in math. He used to come to our home in Exton once a week, but we moved to Downingtown, PA. He still tutors her once a week, but not at our home, on Skype. She uses a pad that is connected to her Mac and it is amazing how easily they get it done. I am sure that Karsten will continue to be an important part of our daughter's learning team and he has quickly endeared himself with our family. I highly recommend this tutor and I give my personal endorsement to anyone who has a son or daughter who is struggling with math.

I would highly recommend Karsten as a tutor for anyone looking to improve their knowledge of math and science. Karsten helped me with my recent physics 2 (electrmagnetism) course. He quickly identified my shortcomings, and was able to provide explanations of the topics I was struggling with. Not only does Karsten posses an extraordinary knowledge base, but he is able to convey that knowledge in an easily understood manner. He would choose examples from my textbook, as well as create his own, and use them to illustrate his points. I found that not only was I understanding physics more completely, but I was actually enjoying my class as a result of Karsten's help. I think that speaks volumes for his abilities as a tutor. My son met with Karsten for several Saturdays (usually for an hour and a half) at the Chester County Library for math tutoring. My son had taken his SAT in December and obtained a score of 630 in math. After several sessions with Karsten, he took the SAT again and obtained a score of 740!
