Elementary Teacher with Phonics Program Training
I worked in Ohio for two years as a Title I reading teacher for 2nd and 3rd graders. I was trained in a hands-on phonics program, Orton-Gillingham. I then moved back to my hometown of Pittsburgh, where I taught 1st grade. I love working with children and seeing the progress they make through daily classroom lessons or tutoring sessions.
