We contacted John for some last minute SAT prep just 2 weeks before our son was scheduled for the test. He spent three or four 90 minute sessions with John and it really helped him to navigate and understand the test and question structure. Before each session, our son would do one math section and one reading section of an SAT practice test from the official SAT prep book. John would then help our son with the areas where he was weakest, spending time going over the problems he got wrong and the parts he didn't understand. For the last session, our son also did a practice essay for John to critique. Overall, he showed our son how to focus on what was important in the reading sections, how to approach the unfamiliar math problems, and how to structure the essay portion of the test.
