I trained as an elementary school music teacher in England and taught in both public and private schools before moving to the US. Finding I couldn't teach in the US with British qualifications, I ran several Girl Scout Troops, and then moved into teaching music within a choral music program. I have been creating newsletters and flyers since we first got a PC in 1990. I began using early versions of Word, and changed to MS Publisher when that became available. I have since used Quark and Adobe InDesign, so can explain the design process over a number of different design software platforms.
Microsoft Publisher
I started using Microsoft Publisher in the early 1990s to create flyers and newsletters for organizations. I used it for all my layout work until 2004 when I began using InDesign, however many offices only have Microsoft Publisher, so have continued to use it several times a month to this day.
