I have worked as a Pittsburgh Public Schools teacher for over 31 years. My main course of teaching has been in reading, English, spelling and handwriting. For the majority of my career I have taught grades 3 and 4. In the beginning of my career I also taught grade 2 reading, English, spelling, math and handwriting. I am qualified to teach ADD/ADHD students due to the fact that they have been in my classrooms for over a period of many years. I also have a degree in special education so it would also make me qualified for teaching these students as well as those with Aspergers and anything else that would fall under the umbrella of special education. I have at least 5-7 students in my classroom presently that have ADHD.
