autism

The most satisfying work I have done has been 20+ years working with and teaching children and adults (and their parents) with Autism Spectrum Disorders (ASD - autism, Asperger’s, PDD) and ADHD. I have training and experience with Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) which is my preferred method for working on behavioral issues, and can assist with environmental supports and adaptation, both at home and in school. I am a Pennsylvania certified Special Education teacher, with years of teaching experience for students with ASD, at both the high school and Early Intervention level (age 3-6). In addition, I have a son with severe autism and am familiar with the many issues involved in raising and teaching such children.

I am a PA Certified teacher in the areas of Math (Middle and High School), Science and Special Education. Much of my teaching experience has been working with students with Autism Spectrum Disorders (ASD - autism, Asperger’s, PDD) and ADHD for math and science, and with Early Intervention students (age 3-6) with severe autism. My focus for these students combines academic and behavioral learning (preferably ABA) and my students’ areas have ranged from basic math to Algebra, Geometry and Trigonometry. Please see my note on Autism for additional information.

ADD/ADHD

I am a PA certified Special Education teacher, with several years’ teaching experience with students with Autism Spectrum Disorders (Autism, Asperger’s, PDD, etc.) at both the high school and Early Intervention level (age 3-6). In addition, I have a 25 year old son with severe autism (currently employed, owns a car) and am familiar with just about all of the issues involved in raising and teaching such children. I can provide a copy of my certification if needed.

Kristen M. from Telford, PA

Robert is taking time to explore my daughter's strengths & weaknesses. His approach is helping her to feel comfortable about asking questions. I really like the HW assignments too. I am very hopeful about my daughter gaining knowledge & confidence with her math skills.

Max B. from Souderton, PA

Robert is great. He's very patient, he lets his student think about problems before giving out hints. He also recommends other approaches to some problems. He gives out homework and review sheets so he can see the progress and what other areas the student is still having trouble in.
