I am studying theater with an emphasis on the technical production-side of things in college. Most of my sophomore, junior, and senior year of high school was spent onstage or backstage. I performed in two musicals (Hairspray and Oklahoma) and one play (A Midsummer Night's Dream). My senior year I was the assistant stage manager for a play (The Complete Works of William Shakespeare: Abridged) and one musical (Cabaret). As a stage manager I assisted actors with lines, helped the director take notes, and a lot more. I may not be an expert in theater (at the moment at least), but I know a lot and more than enough to tutor a student. If you'd like to know more just ask!
ADD/ADHD
My junior year of high school I took a school-age child development class. In that class I did an intensive research project on childhood ADD/ADHD; however, a lot of my knowledge of the condition was gained by working with children with the disorder. My 10-year-old niece has a slight case of ADHD and babysitting her has taught me a lot. My sophomore year of high school I volunteered at a daycare/preschool where a lot of the children had special needs and I also tutored elementary school students in a special ed class and some of the children had some form of attention and hyperactivity disorder.

My husband and I were very fortunate to find Jazmine on WyzAnt to tutor my 15-year-old daughter in Spanish. I looked for a local Spanish tutor for some time and could not find anyone who was nearby and within my budget. Jazmine began by evaluating my daughter's knowledge to determine her current level before proceeding. She makes Spanish fun and incorporates many different methods to teach, including movies, videos and articles, in addition to traditional methods such as flashcards, worksheets, quizzes and tests. She also accommodates my hectic schedule, and she always has a smile on her face! Jazmine is an excellent communicator. She plans her sessions in advance and sends a detailed email to me ahead of time so that I know what they will be working on. She also sends me a review after each class.
