Mr. P. is a very able and knowledgeable tutor! He was very ready to work with me using past work which I did not understand and help link that to the studies leading up to current work. He does the very best at giving examples as well as providing me with practice problems that allowed me to work it out until it is known completely. His technique of teaching involves allowing me to take down notes, practice along side him as well as learning not to depend entirely on the calculator! He is also willing to review a problematic subject until I have built up confidence in myself; That I have understood it and can apply it to several example problems. He encouraged me to go more in depth of what I did not understand and encouraged me with practice so that I could get past the "I don't get it" to "Oh, I see now!". He also helped me recognize the small errors that I tend to make such as the square root of an answer always has two answers! I highly recommend anyone to choose him to be their child's tutor because he has done a lot for me during my reviewing for my Big SOL. By the way, I felt really confident when I completed the questions with Standard Deviations!
