Ed is an expert in his field and truly gifted at teaching. Through Ed's patience, his years of of experience (he knew InDesign before it was InDesign), and his expertise (he is top in his field), I was able to learn the basics of InDesign and move to more advanced InDesign tools in a remarkably short amount of time. After just a few meetings, I now feel confident creating my own designs for professional brochures, newsletters, advertisements and mailers of every kind. Ed is also very available -- if I ever get stuck on a project, I can email Ed. He gets back to me right away and walks me through solving the problem. I've had two incredibly productive sessions with Edward this week. The first was in person at Starbucks (a few hours), and the second was an “emergency†call yesterday evening (I hope not to have too many) from my home, around 7pm, where we worked together online with audio, meaning he could talk me through what I was trying to do and answer questions as we went. Hallelujah. I may yet take another course in Photoshop, but having Edward available to address exactly what I needed when I needed it was a real god-send. Thanks, Ed. (What we’ve worked on: readying file formats for different purposes - print, web; working with text in photoshop, outlining text, understanding layers better, using old layers “for position only,†transparent backgrounds, cloning, re-sizing images from 72 to 300 dpi and even upsizing a small image, which still amazes me, and, in theory at least, improving my terrible filing habits.)

We worked in Photoshop rendering images and working with perspective interior rooms. He taught me the basic tools that I need to use to play around with the space. I know more confident in my abilities to complete my final project for my Graduate program in interior architecture and design. Edward helped me accomplish everything I wanted to and more.
