My name is Michael. I have worked as a teacher at all grades levels from 3 through college. I served as a school principal for 11 years as well. I am currently teaching math at a local college, and also working with educational video. I have written two math textbooks. However, I am also able to teach history, literature, and writing. I enjoy working with students of all ages, and adapting my instruction to the needs and style of the student. ...

ADD/ADHD
I have worked for 30+ years in schools and colleges as a teacher, tutor and school principal. I have worked directly with ADD/ADHD students as a teacher, and supervised and supported other teachers in working with such students. I have designed resource room support services for students with ADHD and/or other issues that can interfere with learning. I have been trained by individual psychologists in understanding the issues that these students present, as well as in developing strategies to help the students progress, and to help teachers manage such students in class. I am familiar with medications that ADD/ADHD students may take, and the implications and consequences of use and misuse of the medications. As a teacher I am flexible, and enjoy the challenge of adapting to the needs of ADHD students.

Michael was able to help my son get prepared for his final math test in a pinch. He was able to get out and meet with him twice on short notice. My son felt he was knowledgeable of the material and did a good job explaining things. My son feels much more confident about this final test than he did previously.
