I began teaching piano when I was in high school and continued through college. While in college I studied Music Education and Adventure Education. This taught me about Experiential Education and how to facilitate learning through first-person hands-on experiences. After graduating, I taught Outdoor Education and Music at the Eagle Rock School in Colorado, then the Dunn School in California, and finally the Hyde School in Woodstock Connecticut.
