My college career was centered on children who learned differently. The proclivities for which ADHD, ADD and dyslexic children are not strange to me, as I have a son who struggled through the educational system due to a learning difference. What I know is that these children/adults respond well to alternative types of learning environments, educational tools, understanding of the child's learning morality and most important...keen observation by the instructor. It is not a one size fits all approach and requires flexibly. I am totally convinced through first hand experience of the ability of this type of learner to succeed, and I will go above and beyond the norm to find those educational keys which open the doors to learning. These are some of the brightest and creative minds around.

Daphne's energetic demeanor is contagious! She is a true believer that EVERYONE can learn, & conquer their goals! Then, instills in her students, that everyone can succeed, & that no 2 people learn in the same way. Her way of analyzing her students strengths and weaknesses, then devising a learning plan, based solely for this one individual Is inspiring! If our schools had educators cloned to her teaching techniques, the percentage of drop outs would be ZERO! My son had given up on completing his GED. His math phobia was keeping him from passing the last & final test. Having been out of structured education for a number of years, his confidence was at an all time low. He believed he would never pass the Math test, and never be able to take any certification classes at Tech. And more importantly, he was unable to attain gainful employment without a GED. "Tutors had never helped in the past, so why bother now as a (young adult)" was his motto. As his mother, I still believed in him. I had to find someone that would help him see his potential. After searching numerous "Tutoring" sites, I came across WyzAnt. I saw Daphne's smile, read her Bio & decided to reach out. She specifically listed GED tutoring! I emailed her my concerns and his history. She emailed me within an hour, and then called to discuss her thoughts. She is an ANGEL in disguise!! I can not express how wonderful a human being she is. I highly recommend her to all searching for an educational miracle!!!!

This is a wonderful tutor that truly cares about her students. She is exceptional tutoring children with ADHD. Daphne always makes sure my child understands the material before each session is over. If my child is unsure, Daphne finds another way to teach the material. This tutor even goes out of her way to help after class by making her self available by email for any questions or problems that might arise. We are so glad we found Daphne!

Daphne is an awesome tutor! My daughter has ADHD and has always struggled in school. We have had many tutors during her high school years and Daphne is one of the best. She is actually teaching my daughter different techniques on how to study. My daughter has made some of her best grades with Daphne's help. Daphne is easy to keep in touch with when I need to reschedule or need an extra tutoring session. She makes learning fun and is a very caring person! I would highly recommend Daphne as a tutor!!
