My dream from childhood was to be a teacher. My life experiences allowed me to achieve my dream of teaching later in life. I was a owner/operator of a family day care prior to earning my teaching degree. My life has been spent caring for children and young adults in all aspects of their development. I have worked as a special education teacher for fifteen years. I have experience working with students diagnosed with ADD/ADHD. I find that hands-on, engaging materials and needed breaks are helpful for students success.

I have been a special education teacher for fifteen years. I have experience with students on the spectrum from Asperger to a young adult who needed 3:1 staffing. One of my greatest joy was working with a young lady who was deemed unable to participate in her community. After my experiences with her she was writing her own name, going to restaurants, parks, and stores.
