Owen began his undergraduate education in Engineering Technology at Western Carolina University in January of 2003. Owen was able to complete three years of his education before moving to Asheville. After taking a few years away from school, Owen completed his Bachelor of Science in Engineering Technology with WCU through the distance learning program that was offered at the AB Tech campus in Asheville.
