I am a married father of three. I served in the U.S. Coast Guard and upon an honorable discharge decided to attend the University of Memphis where I received a degree in English and went on to obtain an MFA in Creative Writing. I have been a substitute teacher for all grade levels and taught 9th and 12th grade English as well.
