Many people can solve your PreCalc and Physics problems. Not a lot, however, can actually teach and communicate with teens. Dr. Fawad is an outstanding tutor who has a unique gift for motivating students to learn advanced concepts as well as develop study skills needed for future success in college. We have tried many tutors before him and we were so impressed with him, we now exclusively use him for all our PreCalc and AP Physics needs. My daughter, a senior in high school has been struggling with honors math, Calculus to be specific. She is an "A" student in all honors classes (both AP = Advanced Placement and GT = Gifted & Talented). She just seemed to hit a wall in calculus, and it just keeps getting harder. The 1st six weeks she struggled and made an 84, the 2nd a 76. She was fearful of what she would make the 3rd six weeks. The only Calculus tutor at her school, is her current teacher. My daughter requested assistance, but her teacher's approach to Calculus was not being understood well by my daughter. She requested assistance from other peers, but the ones who did understand it couldn't explain it well. So I found a tutor on the internet. The first one was not a good fit...he had taken the summer off from college, and just lectured her in a lofty manner about Calculus in general - wasted $50 in my opinion! Then I found WyzAnt Tutoring and selected Dr. Fawad. I emailed him that morning, and he squeezed us in his schedule that evening. He met with my daughter for a little over two hours and they reviewed Calculus, differentiation problems, limit problems, equations of line tangents and normal lines, and test taking strategies. She was delighted with her progress she understood well enough she could complete her review papers that were due in the morning, and was confident and well prepared for her test for the fist time this semester. My daughter has been unable to understand her college statistics teacher since the semester began, but somehow taught herself. Well, she had a test Monday and at 1:00pm Sunday (the day before) she came to me saying she was going to fail if she didn't get a tutor. I scrambled, emailing every tutoring website I could find. I got a few responses (I was surprised I got any) and Fawad seemed very qualified and was very willing to accommodate the short notice. He worked with her after her morning class from 11-1:20. She thought he was a really good teacher and hoped she could hold on to the information. Fawad called later that day to see how she was felt she did on the test. She thought she did well but wasn't sure. She ended up getting a 105. The extra 5 points were because her work was so good. Fawad was so happy for her. I cannot thank him enough. Not only for his expertise on the subject, but his willingness to go out of his way to to help her at the very last minute and caring enough to follow up and see how she did. Thank you.
