Howdy! My name is John and being an Aggie in the engineering department allowed me to cultivate my long-existing appreciation of tutoring and helping others. I have been tutoring since I was 13 years old, and what I have been able to achieve after tutoring 500+ students since starting college, is the ability to relate the study material from closely-related majors to ones that aren't so. Most importantly, it is important if you are reading thus far, to understand that I will not be doing...

John was an amazing tutor! He broke everything down for me to understand! He messaged me quickly when I messaged him that I needed to get an assignment done asap! I highly recommend!

John is a great tutor and provides clear and concise instruction. He is very patient and will approach problems different ways to fit your learning style.

John takes time to answer any questions that may arise, and explains why a certain method is used or not used rather than just giving a quick run down of the process.

He's so great! Taught in a way I understood and even bought coffee! I know I will do great on the test now 10/10 would recommend

He's an awesome Tudor that really connects with me unlike other Tudors. He explains very well and can sometimes go fast, but then shows you how to do it correctly.

This past semester I have had to take Physics 208 at Texas A&M, an infamous course that the majority of students have to retake or Q-drop. Thanks to John's guidance and support I have achieved an A in the class for the semester. He does a terrific job of slowing you down, and taking everything in a step-by-step manner in order to find the answer. He is also great at teaching the concepts and helping you visualize what is actually happening. After going through one problem with him at a tutoring session, I have been able to then reason through all of the others for that chapter in the homework and on previous tests. However after reading this review, don't just think that if you take John you'll automatically get a good grade from just the tutoring. Like any other course or learning program, you need to practice on your own and come prepared to the tutoring sessions with what you want to cover. John is extremely easy to contact, professional, flexible, and just an all around respectable guy. He talks to you like a normal human being and establishes a culture of mutual respect. He will work on whatever you want to not only in Physics, but in any other subject that he is qualified to tutor. This review isn't just me meeting with him once, getting a good grade, and praising him for it. This review is from an entire semester of experience, meeting with him weekly, and ultimately having a good experience in a class that is predetermined to be horrible for almost everyone. I highly recommend him.

John tutored my high school senior son in AP Physics. Prior to the first session, John set up an informal phone session to ask both my son and myself some pertinent information. During the first tutorial, John assessed my son's knowledge and then dove right in with very thorough explanations, using my son's Physics school book. After each session, John sent me a summary of the session (using WYzant's app). My son gained a deeper understanding and improved his grades. I highly recommend John.
