At the young age of 36, after having my son, I decided that I wanted to change fields in education from an ESL and Reading Specialist teacher to the field of dyslexia. I attended the Scottish Rite Learning Center of South Texas in San Antonio which is an intense two year training with over 700 hours of classroom implementation of the Take Flight program as well as 300 classroom hours about the field of dyslexia.
