I was licensed as a CPA and a member of the State Bar of Texas so I can teach accounting, law and many associated business fields. Michael has helped me to understand business strategy in a way I was was not able to "get" with the course. I greatly appreciate his help. This is the second course he has helped me with and it has been a good experience. I would highly recommend this tutor for anyone struggling with finance or business strategy.

I am a software engineer by trade and I would consider myself a bright individual with good math and cognitive skills. So when someone asks me, “If a train from Chicago is going south at 50 mph and a train from Dallas is going north at 60 mph etc” I can figure out the answer. After years as a coder, I decided to move up to management and I’m working on an MBA in Technology Management. This is a discipline that is focused on using technology in ways that make businesses more efficient and ultimately more effective. That’s great, but there’s one catch! Most techies like me look at the world and focus on projects from a “COOLNESS” factor. If its cool it worthy of spending millions! Hey, how can you blame us! That being said, I registered for a core class in the Economics of Technology Projects. Talk about being out of place! I was like a guy dressed up as a Klingon at a Harry Potter Convention. It was painful! The class was about ROI, APR, MARR, IRR, Time Value of Money and a million other things I had never heard of! To make things worse, it was all done in MS Excel and I had to figure out lots of those crazy financial functions (PV, FV, NPV, RATE etc.) that no techie ever uses. Anyway, I contacted Mike and he was great! He not only helped me understand what it all meant, but related it to lots of stuff in everyday life and it was an eye opener! Now have a greater understanding of the financial world and a greater appreciation for the financial folks that keep telling me “NO” on my crazy tech projects. Now, thanks to Mike, I posses the knowledge to approach the CFO and CEO and explain why we should risk valuable corporate resources on a crazy idea. Finally, on top of everything, I got an “A” in the class! Thanks Mike! You ROCK!

Michael is very knowledgeable in decision science. He was able to tutor the subject on our first lesson together without needing time to remember how to solve the problems in that subject. I feel like if a tutor says he can tutor you in a subject the student shouldn’t have to pay for a first lesson just to sit while the tutor tries to remember how to solve the problems in that subject. Michael knew the subject well enough to teach me on the first day and even taught me how to look at the problems and solve them from the perspective of test taking. He is patient and takes the time to work out the solutions step by step. I have walked away from every session feeling like I learned valuable information and that the information would make me successful in the subject.

I made several contacts for a tutor and Michael was the only one that responded and he did so swiftly. He was also able to work me into his schedule quickly for our meeting. As soon as he arrived and met with me I felt comfortable and immediately knew he knows what he's doing. Michael has great communications and tutoring skills. He is patient and seems like a very nice person and my personal opinion about him is that he truly cares about tutoring and really wants to help people like myself succeed. My parents were observing how he tutor and even commented that he's a great tutor and person. We will definitely recommend him!
