I attended James Madison University in the beautiful Shenandoah Valley of Virginia where I received my B.A. in English and my Master's in Secondary Education. I worked in Virginia public schools for four years as an assistant teacher prior to moving to Alabama where I became the lead teacher of a grade 7-8 ELA classroom.
