Hi Everybody, First off, thanks for reading my profile. I appreciate it! Second, let me tell you a little bit about myself. The picture is from a trip to see my brother in Wasilla Alaska. Llewellyn is very patient. He's very knowledgeable on stats and shows up prepared for lessons -- he printed the course material I sent him -- and on many occasion knew it better than I did. If you are feeling a little doubt about whether you can hang in stats, he'll help you over come that. I had doubts whether I would be able to pass my class and with his help and direction I regained my confidence and came out with an A-. Go with him. He's worth every penny.

My daughter was not passing her college algebra class this summer and the class was condensed into an 8 week minimester; so not much time to try and figure it out. The teacher was introducing a new chapter every day with tests every other day and she was already failing the class by the 2nd week. Llewellyn came in on her 2nd week and immediately assessed her strengths and weaknesses in algebra. He evaluated her study skills and determined where she needed the most attention. My daughter worked hard alongside Llewellyn the whole way. She focused on what he was teaching her and she went home and applied it while she was studying and doing her homework. He did not give her answers or show her shortcuts that would only work for one or two problems. He taught her the basics and taught her valuable study skills which she can apply to all her future math classes. Now for the stats: Started out with a 66 average before Llewellyn. Ended with a 87 average with a final exam of 94. We couldn't be happier with Llewellyn and are thanking our LUCKY STARS that he replied to our posting so quickly. We had others reply too but he seemed to immediately know that we were looking for more than just a passing grade for her. We wanted her to truly understand the subject and he delivered. Thanks.

Llew is a great instructor. His knowledge of mathematics make him a suitable tutor for a wide range of subjects. His strong understanding of the concepts allow him to explain them with a very basic logic that anyone can grasp. He helped me prepare for a college placement test having been out of academia for 5 years.

As a parent, I would higly recommend Llew. He helped my 10th grade son raise his Algebra II (honors class) test scores by 30%. Llew was able to evaluate my son's learning style and personality, then create a tutoring "plan of action" that best fit his needs. My son had lost self-confidence in his abilities and was struggling with only a few weeks left in the semester. Llew was not only able to help him get to the point where he could make an "A" on the final exam, but helped my son to gain back his confidence. Llew is not only a great instructor, but a great person. I'm very pleased with our results, and since we have two years left in high school, we won't hesitate to call on Llew for all our tutoring needs in the future.

Llewellyn is extremely knowledgeable in many disciplines. He is also an excellent tutor. He understands that everyone learns differently, and knows how to approach the course material from his student’s learning style. He took my fears of math, Excel, and graphs and turned them into an enjoyable learning experience. My confidence level in working problems in economics and creating graphs in Excel is increasing with each lesson. I also appreciate his patience with my learning curve. I find it hard to believe that I learned so much in such a short period of time. Llewellyn has my highest recommendation.

I have never been able to read a map despite numerous attempts to learn. I have had various "tutors" from friends to actual employees at Mapsco. Each time I walked away discouraged. For the first time in my adult life I feel confident that I can learn to read a map. Llew taught me some techniques that really registered with me. Not only was he a skilled tutor in the subject matter, he was friendly, kind, and patient. He is also very responsive to phone calls and emails. I would recommend him without reservation.

GRE math prep and strategies for taking the test. I had a lot to learn and Llewellyn was very patient and encouraging!

Llew, worked with me on some curricular materials for differential equations. I particularly appreciated his accepting the fact that, for my purposes, presentation and explanation were just as important as the math. A lot of "math types" only care about the math.
