Like the title, she is a professional Russian language teacher. She knows how to teach step by step and when you tell her your level and what level you want to reach, she will schedule a plan for you. I think that's the main reason why I need a private teacher instead of self learning. I am Chinese, English is my second language, She always teaches me Russian words and alphabet with vivid English explanations and she always encourages me to learn more. Not only in class, she also sends me some links to upgrade my Russian speaking off the class. So, I am still learning Russian from her every week and I am enjoying it.

To further elaborate, I need to express the fact that Juliya has been teaching me the Russian language entirely from the ground up. Other than when I once attempted to learn the Russian alphabet via the internet, I had virtually no prior knowledge of the Russian language before I signed up for lessons. And, let me tell you, it is extraordinarily valuable to have an avid and experienced native Russian speaker guide you through the language, step by step and in person; I cannot exaggerate how crucial this is for someone like me who wishes to learn Russian from the ground up. Juliya is a very gifted teacher who is very patient, adaptive, understanding, and knowledgeable. Juliya paces her lessons well and is very attentive and receptive about if/when any confusion or questions arise. She is such a magnificent teacher, in fact, that in less than ten Russian lessons I've already learned the following: The Russian alphabet, to count up to the thousands, read/write basic Russian, and to carry basic conversation - which is very impressive considering that I had little to know knowledge of the Russian language prior to our lessons! I am currently in the process to expanding my vocabulary and am refining my knowledge of gendered/neutral words in order to have more advanced conversational exchanges - all in such little time! My conversational skills are evolving so quickly that I've even purchased a Russian keyboard so that I may read/write online with ease. When comparing self-taught Russian language methods to taking lessons from Juliya, I've gone from 0-100. I've learned more in 7-10 lessons than I could have possibly dreamed and am having a blast! Who knows what the next lessons have in store for me!
