My love of Japanese started right after college when I lived and worked in Japan for a year. I lived in Kanazawa, a medium sized city far from Tokyo, Osaka, or other big Japanese cities. Not many people in Kanazawa spoke English so I started learning and speaking Japanese the day I arrived.
