I found a great tutor that fit my son's needs--deep expertise in Statistics, available by Skype, reasonable cost, great preparation before lessons, and good rapport with my son. My son says the tutor not only knows his stuff, he is also effective in teaching it. They have had 4 lessons, and I plan to continue. The first lesson was extra long so the tutor could get my son back on the right track before a test the next day. My son made a passing grade on that test, and made 80 on his next test. The customer service representative was also very helpful in my search. She listened carefully to my criteria and responded quickly with a number of qualified choices for a tutor, and an offer to research more if I asked. The payment system is convenient. I really like the summaries that the tutor completes after each lesson. There is enough detail that they also serve as a study aid for my son.

Mr. Richard is very knowledgeable about the topics covered in my Advanced Statistics for my PhD program. He explained the concepts with examples and visual aids. I would recommend him as a tutor. I was able to pass the course with a satisfactory grade of a B even though I could have passed the course with a low C. He answered questions in person and via email, so as you can see he was available whenever I needed a question answered.
Kaelei G. from Spring, TX
I have greatly enjoyed working with Richard this semester. He is very patient and tries to find different ways to explain materials. I will be using him again next semester for pre-calculus!
Diana C. from Houston, TX
Richard is very patient and understanding. He explains everything with ease and in ways that I understand. He does not rush through the lesson and takes time explaining it to me. He has been extremely helpful and has helped me gain my confidence back. He believed in me and my abilities from day one. He was the best tutor I could have asked for.
Kaitlin B. from Kingwood, TX
Mr. V is one of the best STATS tutors. He has helped me through this course twice and every time he has found a way to explain the information in a way that was understandable. He would go over my tests and homework to make sure I was doing the homework right and also to make sure I understood what I did wrong on the tests. He is also very patient. If you do not get the information the first time, he'll find a different way to explain it until you understand the concept. He will always answer your phone calls or texts if you ever have questions, even if he is out of town.
Kristen T. from Spring, TX
He always asks at the beginning & end of the session what you want to work on, if he's covered the material, any other concerns you may have. He brings the subject to life by using real world examples; which is not something I thought about until he asked me, but is extremely relevant for my content area. I rated it at as 4 stars b/c I was unprepared.
Mengistu D. from Humble, TX
Dr. Richard is the best tutor by far! He explains everything thoroughly when I do not understand a topic. He comes to our tutoring sessions ready well in advance! Dr. Richard proved himself worthy from what he learned from his graduate years in school. He comes on time and replies to my emails and texts with no more than one to two hours. I would highly recommend him for anything anyone is looking for in a tutor. When he taught me trigonometry, statistics and pre-calculus I received an A in all classes!!
Carol W. from Spring, TX
As a doctoral student it has been difficult for me to find a tutor who can assist me with the advanced concepts involved at this level of study. I have had been struggling with statistics and am so happy that Dr. V. is able to assist me in making what is often a intimidating subject understandable and pertinent.
EVA C. from Houston, TX
Richard explains statistics very logically and thoroughly until I fully understand all concepts. I look forward to each session and learning the next step!
Olivia R. from Humble, TX
Richard is very soft spoken, communicates clearly, and is very patient. He did an excellent job of preparing Olivia with the math section of the SAT and PSAT. I highly recommend him and would not ever hesitate to call him again if we needed him. Oh, and he is always on time.
Jacquelyn B. from Houston, TX
Richard has been a great tutor so far. He has been available when needed and has even offered to help me outside of our scheduled times. He offered to review my work if uploaded and sent via email. I find this to be call on his sincere character. He makes me feel like I WILL SUCCEED! Thanks Richard for passing on your years of knowledge to this newbie. You make Biostats seems as if it is not as complicated as it seems.

Richard is my tutor for my graduate level statistics course. He explains everything in depth and knows his material very well. I have also been receiving As on the material I have turned in. This guy is not lying - he truly knows his stuff. If you are a graduate student, you must get Richard.
David D. from Spring, TX
This is my fourth hour this semester with Richard. He has been invaluable and highly accessibly through our tutoring sessions. His teaching style has made statistics a manageable subject. He not only answers my questions but prepares for our subsequent sessions. I would highly recommend him and continue to utilize his knowledge. I am so grateful to have had Richard as a Biostatistics tutor this semester. My success in statistics this semester was a direct result of his ability to make this subject simple and comprehensible.

She got a 100 on her last algebra test. Her confidence has skyrocketed and she has begun to enjoy math again! Thank you so much.

Richard is by far the best Statistics tutor ever. For anyone who is considering taking a statistics course and need some help, Richard is your guy. I remember my first conversation with him before we ever met, he said "statistics is not easy but it is logical". Those words to me were profound, as it helped me understand that it is not so much that I lacked the ability to pass this course but with help I can definitely make it. He has a knack for breaking statistics down in its simplest form, that a fifth grader can understand it. I love that he shows up on time with his writing pad, formulas and any other necessary tool to help his student. There is always an 'aha' moment when you realize that previously in class we discussed this topic but I didn't quite get it, until Richard made it simpler. Thanks to him I aced statistics! I know choosing him as your tutor will be as rewarding for you as it was for me. He is simply the best.
Charity A. from Spring, TX
Richard was the key to my success in my grad school Quantitative Business Analysis course, a.k.a. Statistics. I met with him twice a week to work through exercises and assignments. He was patient and accommodating to my schedule and needs for completing the course successfully. Richard genuinely cared about my ability to learn the material and improve my grade. After failing my first two quizzes my grade was a 70%. I began working with Richard and both my assignment and quiz scores improved. I finished the course with a 90%. I enjoyed working with Richard and could not have gotten through the accelerated course format without him. I highly recommend Richard.
Craig T. from Houston, TX
As a statistics beginner it was important that we go slowly and that there was full explanations of how things worked. When I didn't understand Richard was able to show me another way of doing it until I understood the concepts.
Omar K. from Spring, TX
Richard is a top tutor in mathematics and statistics. He goes step-by-step and shows you the whole process to make sure you understand how to do it correctly. I highly recommend him for your tutoring needs. I have used him several times and he's very flexible to meet your schedule.
Rand W. from Porter, TX
Richard arrived on time and quickly grasped the purpose of the assignments in question. He reviewed my answers and corrected me when necessary. His assessed my work as competent which gave me, a novice, the confidence I needed. I highly recommend Richard and will certainly call on him again should the occasion arise.
Corey K. from College Station, TX
Richard has tutored both my 18 and 14 year old son's. My high school senior increased his statistics average from failing to an A. He is excellent!

Richard is an excellent tutor! He is patient and thorough! He is also very flexible and asks all the right questions. He doesn't just show you the work, he makes sure you understand the concepts.
Cat J. from Waco, TX
Mr. Richard was an excellent tutor. He was a wonderful instructor, very understanding, had a lot of patience when I did not understand a topic, and was very willing to take the time to stop and explain a concept thoroughly (using examples that I could easily relate to). I would highly highly HIGHLY recommend him and I will be tutoring with him for the rest of my semester in Psychology. If there is ever a time to ask for his assistance, he would be the first person I would ask for help!
Mrs. Angela L. from Houston, TX
First impressions are essential to a good working relationship and Mr. Richard was great! I am accustomed to working with Ph.D level professors so I felt comfortable when I realized he is a very sharp, quick thinker and his teaching personality is in his head, which means it does not take much to catch up with what I'm doing.
